The Totally Carpet showroom is located on the ground level of Pennzoil Place in Suite 112  with streetside entry at Rusk Avenue and Louisiana Street. In addition, Salon Totally, a 500-square-foot, glass-encased  space located in located in Suite 104 within the Pennzoil Place lobby, will be Houston’s first art Salon.  Curated by Barbara Davis, Salon Totally, will host regular social gatherings of eminent Houstonians; especially writers, artists, designers, and architects, with an intent to create dialogue about the arts.

Totally founder, Dr. Bob Weiner, welcomed guests to an invitation-only reception catered by Chef Monica Pope held in the new spaces on June 24th and recognized the Gensler design team headed by Yishio Kuo and Vince Flickinger for the spectacular finished product.   “Gensler has done an outstanding job in creating our new showroom,” said Weiner.  “We couldn’t have asked for a better partner.  They have created a one-of-a-kind minimalist inspired space for us with glass walls that face Louisiana Street and contemporary furnishings by Wilkahn International and Arper.” Vibia’s Wireflow pendant highlights a twenty-foot architectural white Silestone workspace and bar provided by Consentino.  Epoxy Floors in stark white and charcoal, installed by Architectural Floors, provide and elegant and striking contrast for displaying Totally Carpet products. In Salon Totally, the Aim Multipoint pendant light by Floss illuminates works of art by Martin Durazo of LA and Andrea Bianconi of New York and Vicenza.

“We wanted to create something beautiful and usable—a workspace/showroom that would inspire our clients and pay homage to the iconic Philip Johnson designed Pennzoil Place,” said Totally Vice President of Marketing Abigail Branch.  “We also wanted to gift Houstonians with Salon Totally, an inspirational space with rotating installations of art, furniture, lighting, and Totally Carpet. Houston is a dynamic center for the arts and Barbara Davis will curate fascinating and thought provoking installations for the space, just as she has in her Montrose gallery for the past 30 years.”

Gallant Builders of Houston served as the General Contractor for the new Totally showroom and salon.
